One of the leading British Pub in UAE was undergoing hard time due to the building chiller breakdown. The Pub being located near the busiest place in UAE, Dubai airport, had to face hard time while attended by a number of guests and had no air conditioning.

One of the world-famous cruise liner, which has a history spanning 5 decades, is now docked permanently at Mina Rashid, Dubai functioning as a 5-star hotel. With the summer season hitting high, the hoteliers are taking precautions to ensure guests and staff remain cool during the period. Recently, the F&B Manager for the cruise came up with an idea to introduce a new lounge into the liner. The new lounge was planned to place on the rear deck where there is ample space and it was built in a very short period. After building it there came the real issue for cooling. The HVAC design for the new lounge were not met as per the Dubai municipality HVAC standards. The client wanted to make sure that the VVIP guests and customers who flew across the country to witness this phenomenon and to enjoy on flight experience. We offered our high ambient VFD driven package unit to meet the client’s expectation.

Andrew Sykes provides warehouse spot cooling for perishable pallets

One our Clients received a shipment of perishable good that were required to be kept in a temperature controlled environment in Dubai despite the ambient temperatures were above 45 degree Celsius/113 degree Fahrenheit  outside. The warehouse only had extraction vents on the roof designed to reduce the temperature by 2-5 degree Celsius.

Due to the size of the warehouse, it wasn’t cost effective to provide cooling for the entire warehouse but rather a spot cooling solution. Andrews Sykes designed a system that could provide cooling or the portion of the warehouse and racks where the perishable items were stored. read more

Andrews Sykes is pleased to offer our Clients an emergency shutdown temporary chiller solution. We can provide 50kW, 100kW, 384kW or 700kW chillers at short notice. We also don’t require a crane which can often cause delays to the mobilization and demobilization processes.

This solution can be provided to any facility that is connected to the district cooling network or a centralised chiller system. We can also connect quickly to a heat exchanger for process applications.
