Our strong standing in the Middle East has enabled us to work with some of the region’s biggest organisations, including the UAE’s largest food processing company.

On that occasion, the client wished to reduce the ambient temperature of their premises down to 5⁰C from 36⁰C and minimise the amount of water vapour present in the air. To achieve this, we designed and supplied a low temperature chiller configuration with a cooling capacity that exceeded 2MW. Andrews Sykes Climate Rental was contacted to provide temporary cooling for a high voltage electrical room of a big brand company, after temperature in their electrical room raised above 45°C even though the weather is winter already. This created an uncomfortable working environment for employees and so something needed to be done immediately.

Process Cooling for the oil & gas sector

The oil & gas sector is a very important sector for the Middle East as this is one of the largest sources of revenue for many governments. Each refinery pumps thousands of barrels of oil per day along with natural gas and therefore production inefficiencies or downtime are very costly and can translate to the loss of millions of dollars.

Andrew Sykes was recently approached by a multinational fossil fuel provider to support with process cooling for one of its production facilities. During the oil refining process, the crude oil passes through a heat exchanger to cool down before moving to the next stage. One side of the heat exchanger has crude oil & the other side has sea water. This is effective during the winter but during summer the sea water is heats up and the cooling is dramatically reduced. read more

Andrews Sykes is always looking for ways to improve our customer service and satisfaction. After consulting with our clients, we learnt that one of the most important requirements is speed during emergency breakdowns or equipment failure. With this in mind, we added the new 9.5TR Crane & Truck (commonly also referred to as a HIAB truck).

Our new loader crane & truck allows us to load large equipment such as 100TR chillers units, 25TR Package AC units, dehumidifiers, industrial ventilation fans and generators without having to use an additional crane. This helps us provide a more cost effective solution while improving speed of delivery for our customers. read more

A renowned event organizer who was working in collaboration with a leading charity organization in Abu Dhabi organized an Art exhibition around a huge warehouse. The event which was expected to be attended by hundreds of guests needed adequate amount of cooling given that it would be in a closed marquee.

Forming Ice for the new Ice rink in Dubai

The summer season in UAE attracts a lot of visitors to indoor activities and play areas. The ice rinks and snow parks are one of the major attractions loved by all ages.

Andrews Sykes Climate Rental had the opportunity to work with one of the newest indoor ice rink located at the Dubai World Trade Center. The authorities had requested us for a firm and stable ice formation before the opening of the entertainment center.

The task of formation of firm ice all over the rink was carried out with the help of our 700kW Chillers, which are capable of cooling down areas to low minus temperatures and can be connected to existing pipework easily with the help of flexible hoses. read more
